Sales
How do I update to the latest version? (e.g. version 1.1 to 1.2)

To update any NUGEN product (eg. 1.1 to 1.2), you can download and install the latest version from the My products section of your user area.

Can I upgrade an old product? (e.g. version 1 to 2)

A list of available upgrade options can be found in the My Offers and Upgrades section of your user area.

Where can I find legacy (old) versions of your products?

Installers for legacy versions of all NUGEN products can be found in the Build Archive section of your user area.

Am I eligible for an educational discount?

Our EDU program offers a 50% discount for institutions, faculty members and students, with proof of ID. There is an EDU order form for institutions, and one for students and teachers.

Do you offer a volume/bulk purchase discount?

Bulk discounts are calculated on a case-by-case basis, but generally start at 5 licenses for the same product. Please email sales@nugenaudio.com for a quote.

Can I endorse your products?

We are not currently actively seeking out endorsements, but if you are interested in endorsing NUGEN then please email artists@nugenaudio.com.

Can I make company purchases without VAT?

If you are an EU business customer based outside the UK with a valid VAT number, send a purchase order including your VAT number to sales@nugenaudio.com, and we will issue a VAT-exclusive invoice.

Can I purchase from a local dealer?

Yes, our products are sold directly and through third party dealers.

Can I transfer my license(s) to another user?

License transfers are available for full software licenses only.

NFR and educational licenses are not transferable.

Only the current version may be transferred. Upgraded (old licenses) are not available for transfer.

To transfer a license code to another user, the original owner should email support@nugenaudio.com providing:

- The email address associated with their NUGEN Audio account
- The license code to be transferred
- The email address of the new license owner

How do I get a product demo?

You can download and install a 15-day fully functioning demo from the Demos section of your user area.

Does my demo have any limitations?

We offer fully functioning 15-day time limited demos.

Licensing
How do I register my new purchase?

If you bought a new NUGEN Audio product from a dealer you may need to register it by filling in the form at https://nugenaudio.com/register

How are my purchases licensed?

We offer two licensing methods:, iLok and challenge response (license code). Most NUGEN products can be licensed via either method, but some are limited to one.

How does iLok licensing work?

Our iLok licenses can be deposited in up to two specific locations using the iLok License Manager software provided by PACE. This can be either an iLok USB dongle, which allows for licenses to be moved easily between different locations, or a specific machine. For further information, please visit www.ilok.com.

Do you offer site licensing?

Site licensing is available for multiple seat installations of 10 seats or more. Please email support@nugenaudio.com for further details.

Where is my license email?

If you have not received a license email

1. Please add support@nugenaudio.com to your address book/safe list.
2. Click the 'Send Licensing information' in the My Licenses section of your user account area.
3. Check your junk/spam email folder/s.
4. If you have still not received your license email after 20 minutes, please contact support@nugenaudio.com, advising which products were purchased, when they were purchased, where they were purchased from, and the payment method used.

How do I convert my license to iLok?

Can I transfer my license(s) to another user?

License transfers are available for full software licenses only.

NFR and educational licenses are not transferable.

Installation
How do I install my NUGEN product(s)

Please follow the steps in our PDF installation guide .

What operating systems can I use?

Most of our products are compatible with Windows 7 and above, and Mac OSX 10.9 and above. AMB is not compatible with Mac OSX 11 and above. Specific system requirements are available on the individual product pages.

Does your software have native Apple silicon support?

Most of our products now have native Apple silicon support. The only exception is AMB, which unfortunately is not compatible with Rosetta or MacOS versions 11 and above.

Which formats can I use?

In general, our products are available in VST3, AU, AAX and AudioSuite format. Some are available as a standalone application. For specific products, please see individual product pages. For VST2 and RTAS, and 32-bit versions, please find legacy installers in the Build Archive .

How do I completely remove your plug-ins from my Mac?

In order to completely remove NUGEN plug-ins from a Mac, you need to drag all plug-in files into the trash.
These are found in the following locations:

/Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/(Plug-In Name).dpm

How do I report a problem?

If you encounter a problem which cannot be solved via our FAQs, please email support@nugenaudio.com.
Please include the specific plug-in, your DAW/version, operating system/version and a detailed description of how to reproduce the problem.
